NEWSLETTER NO. 4, 2020
This has been a strange year because of the corona pandemic. Most of our plans we have had to change as we went along. We used the time to build administrative structures, to plan and to write our first applications. We still don't know when we can start carrying out our plans, and we are also waiting to see if we get funding. All this, you can read about in this fourth newsletter of TurningPoints:

In October, Nanna and Claus went to Central America on TurningPoint’s first pilot study.
We visited Guatemala, Honduras and Mexico and met the NGOs Ilepaz and CIPREVI Honduras, as well as other civil groups and organisations. The aim of this newsletter is to tell you about some of the people we met, the learnings we had, and the plans we made. In this issue, we focus on economics because the current economy is not sustainable in three key areas:
• It is not ecologically sustainable
• It is not sustainable in relation to human life and development
• It is not sustainable in terms of a fair distribution of the jointly produced wealth
The Pass It On concept addresses a range of underlying assumptions on which the current economic thinking is based.
INDSAMLING, 2021
TurningPoints besluttede, at gennemføre en indsamling fra 22.11.2020 til 21.11.2021 til etablering af nye PassItOn virksomheder. Til det formål søgte vi, og fik, en indsamlingstilladelse.
I tilladelsen forpligtede TurningPoints sig til at offentliggøre regnskabet for indsamlingen, jvf. bekendtgørelse om indsamling m.v., nr. 160 af 26. februar 2020.
TurningPoints gennemførte imidlertid aldrig nogen indsamling, hvilket afspejlet af regnskabet. TurningPoints er trods dette forpligtet til at offentliggøre resultatet.
NYHEDSBREV NR. 4, 2020
2020 har været et anderledes år på grund af coronapandemien - men også på grund af mange andre begivenheder. Derfor har vi været nødt til flere gange at ændre planer. Vi har så brugt tiden til at opbygge vores administration, administrative procedurer og vi har brugt tiden til at skrive de første ansøgninger. Vi ved stadig ikke, hvornår vi kan begynde at udføre vores planer, og vi ved heller ikke endnu, om vi får nogen funding til dem. Alt det kan du læse om i dette fjerde nyhedsbrev fra TurningPoints:

NGO’en TurningPoints slår officielt dørene op d. 21. september, 2019 på FN’s Internationale fredsdag. TurningPoints har etableret sig med nye koncepter, nyt program, ny bestyrelse, medlemskab af CISU og et første samarbejde er allerede under opbygning med NGO’er i Guatemala...

TurningPoints har skabt et nyt koncept for ejerskab og organisering af arbejds- pladser, som søger at opfylde disse rettigheder, behov og som gør det nedefra. Konceptet kalder vi ‘Pass It On’. Pass It On er konceptet for en ny selvejende virksomhedstype, der har overskudsdeling og som en del af sit virke giver hjælpen videre i skabelsen af 3 nye virksomheder. Virksomheden er demokratisk ledet, og har en samarbejdende og transparent økonomi. Virksomhedernes produktion skal være fredelig, bæredygtig og tilpasset lokale forhold.

En central rettighed i FN's menneskerettighedserklæring fra 1948 er §23 om retten til arbejde, og tilhørende artikler om, at arbejde skal have det menneskelige arbejdes kvaliteter, dvs. at man skal kunne leve af det, at man skal kunne understøtte sin familie, samt at man har ret til at hvile sig og tilbringe tid med sin familie. Dette er ikke en menneskeret, der ofte nævnes under politiske festmiddage i Strassbourg og Washington. Det er tværtimod en rettighed, der er meget forsømt.
